Job Title Travel Registered Nurse – Orthopedic/Trauma (Night Shift) Location Kansas City, Missouri Schedule / Job Type Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Onsite Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care on a 23-bed Orthopedic/Trauma unit with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 • Care for post-operative patients including knee, hip, and shoulder replacements, as well as trauma patients • Operate and monitor specialized equipment including traction devices, fixators, and cooling equipment • Complete documentation accurately using the Meditech electronic health record system • Conduct bedside shift reports and perform hourly patient rounding in accordance with unit standards • Float to other Medical-Surgical level-of-care units as needed per facility floating policy Required Qualifications • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience • Ability to work three 12-hour night shifts per week, including three weekend shifts per schedule period Preferred Experience / Skills • Prior orthopedic nursing experience strongly preferred • Telemetry (Tele) experience • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification or familiarity, particularly helpful given occasional neuro overflow patients Why Join Us • Work within a Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center, gaining exposure to a high-acuity, dynamic clinical environment • Benefit from unit support including Unit Secretaries and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) throughout your shift
