Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) Position Overview The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting. The ER RN will work collaboratively with healthcare teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in alignment with established protocols and standards. Key Responsibilities • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ conditions upon arrival in the emergency department. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. • Provide effective communication to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and care processes. • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. • Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond appropriately to changes in medical condition. • Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients. • Participate in ongoing professional development and training as required. Qualifications • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room or critical care setting. • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required. • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment. Work Schedule This position requires working night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Flexibility regarding shift changes may be necessary to accommodate departmental needs.
