We are seeking an Experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Albuquerque. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of electrical engineering experience with a consulting or design-build firm and experience designing electrical systems for facilities such as laboratories, hospitals, manufacturing plants, schools, and commercial buildings. Responsibilities • Design electrical systems from concept through construction and project completion. • Conduct site visits to evaluate existing electrical systems and equipment. • Prepare electrical designs and drawings using BIM-based design tools. • Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, project requirements, budgets, and schedules. • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and other project team members. • Review designs and technical work for accuracy and quality. • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers. • Stay current with electrical codes, industry standards, and new technologies. • Support construction administration and post-occupancy evaluations. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program. • Minimum of 5 years of electrical engineering experience in a consulting or design-build firm. • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. • Strong knowledge of building and electrical codes, NFPA standards, and energy conservation requirements. • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, SKM PowerTools, or similar engineering design software. • Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills. • Ability to work independently, manage project responsibilities, and collaborate effectively with a team. • Strong work ethic and ability to mentor less experienced team members.
