As a 100% employee-owned company, we serve a diverse range of markets including data centers, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, aviation, higher education, commercial, and industrial. At the heart of DP Electric’s success is its dedication to cultivating industry-leading talent. Through our in-house training program, DP University, we equip employees with advanced skills and expertise to meet the ever-changing demands of modern construction. By combining technical excellence with a client-first approach, we continue to set the standard for electrical contracting in the Southwest. The Opportunity The Material Handler keeps materials moving on the jobsite. You will receive and organize materials in the central laydown area, deliver them to crews where the work is happening, help track inventory, and operate the forklifts, telehandlers, and lifts that make it possible. No electrical experience is required, and we provide the equipment training. What matters is that you are dependable, safety-minded, and good at keeping things organized when a site gets busy. For a lot of people, this role is a first door into commercial construction. What You'll Do Move the Material • Keep materials organized in a central laydown area and maintain inventory of stocked materials. • Deliver materials from the laydown area to specific work locations as requested by field leaders. • Assist with inventory tracking so records of materials and tools stay accurate. • Support the logistics and warehouse teams by coordinating material movement as needed. Operate the Equipment • Operate on-site equipment including forklifts, telehandlers, and aerial lift platforms. • Report equipment discrepancies or operating issues to supervisors promptly. • Follow safety guidelines and proper handling procedures for all materials and equipment. Keep the Site Right • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organizing materials, removing debris, and recycling waste. • Communicate with field leaders and team members to fulfill material requests. • Perform general labor tasks that support site operations. Qualifications Required • High school diploma or GED. Preferred • Warehouse or inventory coordination experience. • Forklift, telehandler, or aerial lift experience. We recognize that experience comes from many paths. An equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience that results in successful performance of the job is welcomed. Additional education may substitute for required experience on a one-for-one year basis, or vice versa. Work Environment This is a field-based role performed on active construction sites, both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to weather and jobsite conditions. The role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, crawling, working at heights, and working in confined spaces, and requires wearing personal protective equipment. Expect a fast-paced environment that calls for focus and sound judgment under pressure. Why DP Electric • Competitive pay and bonus target. • Comprehensive health benefits: medical, dental, and vision coverage. • 401(k) with company match, eligible after one year of service. • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). You are an owner of this company. • Paid time off and paid holidays. • Access to DP University, our in-house training program built to grow careers. • A people-first culture grounded in our core values: Dependable · Opportunity · Raise the Standard · Give Back · Positivity · Family Culture.
