Key Responsibilities

• Conduct CT imaging procedures while ensuring proper patient positioning, appropriate imaging techniques, and diagnostic image quality.
• Operate diagnostic radiography and CT equipment safely and effectively.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explain examinations, and ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the process.
• Apply appropriate radiation protection techniques, infection prevention practices, and established imaging safety protocols.
• Evaluate completed diagnostic images for technical accuracy, positioning, and image quality, obtaining additional images when necessary.
• Support hospital-based diagnostic imaging needs, including urgent and emergency examinations when required.
• Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, nursing staff, emergency department personnel, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate timely imaging services.
• Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and examination information using Cerner EMR.

• Participate in rotating holiday coverage to ensure appropriate diagnostic imaging availability.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow applicable healthcare privacy regulations.
• Work collaboratively with a small team of three Radiologic Technologists while demonstrating independence, adaptability, and effective time management.
• Follow established departmental policies, professional imaging standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.
