Registered Nurse (RN) Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our team. This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including adults and, potentially, pediatric patients depending on experience. Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care in a MedSurg environment. • Manage procedures such as chest tubes, trachs, picc/midlines, central lines, foleys, NG tubes, dressing changes, wound vacs, and ostomies. • Monitor patients with conditions such as post-surgical recovery, strokes, oncology issues, CHF, COPD, respiratory problems, GI issues, and orthopedic needs. • Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) system, specifically Epic, for documentation. • Occasionally assist as a CNA in total care assignments as needed. • Float to various units, including but not limited to 2EW, 2NW, 3EW, 3NW, 5th floor, and the ER for MedSurg holds. Qualifications • Current licensure and certifications: BLS, ACLS, and successful completion of tele exam during compliance. PALS certification is preferred. • Experience with general MedSurg procedures is required. • Pediatric and psychiatric experience is preferred but not required. Work Schedule • Shift times include 7a-7p or 7p-7a. • Weekend rotation is required every other weekend.
