Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in general MedSurg and be comfortable working with a diverse patient population. Qualifications • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. • Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required; PALS certification is preferred. • Candidates must pass a tele exam during compliance. • Experience with pediatric and psych patients is preferred but not required. Skills Required • Proficient in managing chest tubes, tracheostomies, PICC/midline/central lines. • Ability to collect from central lines, perform Foley catheter insertions, and NG tube placements. • Experience with dressing changes, wound vacs, and ostomies. • Knowledge in telemetry monitoring. Patient Types • Adults, including post-surgical patients, stroke patients, oncology (no chemotherapy experience required), CHF, COPD, respiratory issues, gastrointestinal issues, orthopedic (total joints), and COVID-19 cases. • May occasionally encounter total care assignments and perform CNA duties. Additional Information • EMR used: Epic • Floating may be required between multiple units: 2EW, 2NW, 3EW, 3NW, 5th floor, and ER for MedSurg holds. • Weekend rotation: every other weekend. • No on-call responsibilities. • Shift options: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. • Scrub colors: Any solid color without graphics/designs.
