Set up and operate fabricating machines such as shears, expanders, brake presses and forming rolls to cut, bend, block and form or straighten sheet metal. Essential Responsibilities: • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications. • Operate sheet metal fabrication equipment, forming tools, brakes, shears, hand tools, and precisions measuring equipment. • Follow all workplace safety procedures, including proper handling of tools, materials, chemicals, and personal protective equipment. • High degree of attention to detail and ability to provide quality work. • Maintain equipment, making repairs and modifications when necessary. Qualifications: • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. • At least 3 years of sheet metal experience. The posted pay range reflects the range established in good faith for this position.
