Description Guardian Angel Homes is looking for compassionate, dependable members of our kitchen staff in Richland. As a dietary aide, you will work a full-time, 5-on-2-off schedule. Your exact shift will be set by the dietary director after hire, but hours range from 5:30 am to 6 pm every day. What you'll do: • Assist in preparing all food items, following proper recipes and procedures. • Assist in meal service, including taking resident orders, serving salads and desserts, dishing plates with appropriate portions, and ensuring plates are garnished appropriately and visually appealing. • Ensure meals are plated in accordance with the specific dietary requirements of individual residents. • Clean and sanitize all work areas and equipment before and after use. • Cover, label, date, and properly store all food items. • Accurately complete all food production and equipment temperature records as assigned. • Assist in the processing of incoming freight, including accepting freight, dating, and rotating stock. • Assist in all special events and catering as assigned by the Dietary Director. Requirements • A compassionate and dependable approach to caring for seniors • Strong communication and teamwork skills • Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy care environment • Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods • Ability to successfully complete required background screening • Must be able to lift 50 pounds. • Comply with all State regulations • Previous Kitchen experience preferred (especially in an assisted living environment)
