LIFESPAN is hiring experienced, compassionate, creative, hardworking, friendly, and reliable Teacher Assistants to support children with developmental delays and typically developing children from six weeks of age until they start kindergarten in a blended, inclusive environment. Mentor children to help build social skills and relationships. Use electronic health record to document activities and significant events. Submit documentation and payroll data according to scheduled deadlines. Complete initial and ongoing training, and participate in staff development activities. Qualifications: What you need:  Pass criminal record and healthcare registry check  Pass driving record check if providing transportation Pass Drug Screen  High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) One-year experience in a child care setting or working with special education students preferred North Carolina Early Childhood Credentials Commitment to achieve competency in required knowledge, skills, and abilities  Note: Current First Aid/CPR blended or classroom certification is required. If you do not currently have certification from an approved provider, our American Red Cross certified instructors will provide you the training.
