Production Operator, Extrusion Press Cell 2nd Shift Pay: $19.00 to $25.48 per hour Location: Indianapolis, IN Schedule: Full-time, Mon-Fri, 3:00pm-11:00pm Who we are Alexandria Industries has been making custom aluminum extrusions since 1966. About the job We are hiring a Production Operator for our extrusion press cell. As a Production Operator, you will rotate through different stations, so no two parts of your day are exactly alike. You will help turn aluminum into finished parts that meet customer specifications. We cross-train, so you will keep building new skills. What a Production Operator does • Rotate through the press cell stations: stretchers, saw, wagon loading, and packing • Set up and run equipment safely and efficiently • Inspect samples for surface finish, length, and tolerances • Stack, stage, and load material for the age ovens • Pack finished orders to customer specifications Required • High school diploma or equivalent • Ability to read die drawings and use measuring tools • Basic math and computer skills • Ability to use overhead cranes and lift trucks • Self-starter who works well on a team • Able to lift up to 40 lbs, with team lifts or a crane for anything heavier • Comfortable in a loud, warm production setting Preferred (not required) • 2+ years of manufacturing experience • Knowledge of the aluminum age cycle What we offer • Free onsite clinic: routine care, labs, and vaccinations at no cost • Medical, dental, and vision from day one • Save $1,500 or more a year on medical premiums with our wellness program • Solarte Health: $0 out-of-pocket for services like imaging, orthopedics, and mental health care for you and your family on our medical plan • 401(k) with up to a 3% company match • 80 hours of PTO your first year, plus 64 hours of paid holidays • 100% tuition reimbursement for job-related classes Alexandria Industries is an equal opportunity employer.
