Essential Duties & Responsibilities · Partner with functional stakeholders and business leadership to understand business strategy, business objectives, and product requirements and specifications. · Management and leadership of procurement specialists coordinating workloads, process audits/improvements, as well as operational efficiency · Mentor and develop Procurement Specialists · Develop procurement supply standards working with the quality, engineering, and operations functions. · Establish, analyze, and optimize the business’s procurement strategy ensuring alignment with annual business plan, product roadmaps and launch timelines. · Support market evaluation and vendor profiles to aid supplier selection on a global basis, and in partnership with the Strategic Sourcing team. · Use supplier relationship management best practices throughout negotiation, contracting, onboarding and renewal. · Support regular vendor performance and quality evaluations, and supplier risk assessments for continuity of supply. · Collect and interpret procurement data including cost analysis reporting ensuring compliance with budgets and mitigating risks such as supply chain disruptions or price volatility · Perform regular reviews of established procurement processes to ensure continual improvement. · Support New Product Introductions Qualifications · Bachelors degree in business, engineering, supply chain or operations. · A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing Skills and Competencies · Demonstrated experience in developing and executing procurement strategy. · Excellent contracting and procurement negotiating skills · Excellent MRP skills, SAP experience preferred · Proven history of relationship and conflict management · Strategic thinking and creative problem solving · Strong communication and collaboration with peer group and senior leadership Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes Physical Demands and Work Environment: Office Setting · Choice of sitting or standing or alternating between them (stand-up desk optional) · Keyboarding/typing on a computer for extended periods of time · Moderate noise, i.e., phones, printer, light foot traffic Ranpak is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing a workplace free from harassment and discrimination.
