Why You’ll Love Working Here  • Home Daily: Enjoy a local route and return home each day  • Competitive Pay: Starting at $26.22+/hour • Outstanding Benefits: Medical, dental, vision and exceptional 401(k) contribution • Modern Equipment: Well-maintained trucks designed for safety and efficiency • Career Stability: Join a well-established, family-owned company with long-term growth opportunities • Supportive Team Environment: Work alongside professionals committed to safety, service and teamwork • Meaningful Work: Help keep local neighborhoods, businesses and communities clean What You’ll Do  • Safely operate an automated side loader (ASL) garbage truck on residential collection routes • Use automated hydraulic controls to lift and empty carts into the vehicle • Complete waste and recycling collection according to established route schedules • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections • Monitor vehicle operation and report maintenance concerns • Navigate routes safely while complying with all DOT regulations and company policies • Utilize onboard technology and route management systems • Exit the vehicle when necessary to address contamination, blocked carts, missed stops or other service issues • Deliver exceptional customer service and represent Granger professionally in the community • Maintain accurate route documentation and complete required reports What We’re Looking For  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement required • Strong driving record with a demonstrated commitment to safety • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, pushing, pulling, walking and climbing throughout the workday • Ability to safely handle waste and recycling materials in various weather conditions • Strong reliability, teamwork and decision-making skills • Ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment and random drug screenings (including marijuana) • High school diploma or GED preferred • One year of commercial driving experience preferred Work Schedule Start time: 5 a.m. - 6:30 a.m. Monday – Friday (occasional Saturdays) About Granger Waste Services  Working at Granger Waste Services isn’t just a career--it’s a calling. Guided by the Golden Rule, we’re committed to caring for our customers, our communities and each other.
