As an Access Control Officer supporting a government location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor assigned areas, and provide professional customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat06:30 AM - 02:30 PMSun06:30 AM - 02:30 PM What You'll Do: • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government transportation location. • Monitor and control access to assigned facilities by verifying identification, credentials, and authorization; maintaining visitor logs; and directing individuals in accordance with site procedures. • Operate access control systems, cameras, alarms, and communication equipment; report equipment issues or unusual activity to appropriate personnel. • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures. • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, access points, interior areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements: • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License. • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
