Job Description Armed Security Officer – Chattanooga, TN | $26.00/hr | Full-Time, Monday–Friday Mornings Allied Universal is hiring 15 experienced Armed Security Officers in Chattanooga (37415). If you bring at least three years of security, law enforcement, or military experience and want a steady, full-time weekday schedule, this role fits. You’ll be a visible, professional presence protecting people and property, with a predictable morning shift and no weekends. Highlights • $26.00/hour • Full-time, 40 hours per week • Monday–Friday, morning shift • 15 openings available now What you’ll need • Age 21 or older • 3+ years of experience in security, law enforcement, Military Police, or the military • One of the following: • DD214 with Honorable Discharge • Associate’s degree or 60 college credits • Police Academy Certificate • Corrections Academy Certificate RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information • Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information • Preserve order and enforces rules, regulations, and directives for the viability of the site • Maintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons. • Greet guests and employees, assisting where appropriate; escort visitors and contractors, secure ingress and egress points, secure classified information • Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders, reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and verbal communication; interact with client and/or other security personnel regarding order execution when appropriate • Respond to and assesses security alarms or emergency alarms; act as a first responder in emergency situations and provide first aid as necessary QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE): • High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment • Minimum of three (3) years of law enforcement, military, or private armed security experience • Minimum of 21 years of age (or higher if required by the state) • Excellent communication skills; able to articulate and write clear and concise incident or situation reports • Able to complete all range qualifications and functions PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE): • Associate's degree or higher In Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field BENEFITS: • Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance • Company's retirement plans • Seven holidays annually paid at time and a half, if worked • 40 hours of vacation after one year of employment at eligible work assignments; unused vacation is only paid out where required by law Closing Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
