Senior Claims Examiner - Medical Malpractice3 days in office from Midtown Manhattan NYC Excellent base salary $145,000 - $175,000 + 10% annual bonus A leading insurance organization hiring a Senior Claims Examiner for their Medical Malpractice team. This is a senior-level technical role handling complex a range of medical malpractice / healthcare claims, along with other E&O claims if required. You will manage mid to high-exposure claims from first notice through resolution, with a strong focus on coverage analysis, litigation strategy, and stakeholder management. Key Responsibilities Handle mid to complex medical malpractice / healthcare E&O claims through to conclusion Lead coverage investigations and draft detailed coverage position letters independently Manage litigated files, coordinating defense counsel and driving strategy through to resolution Evaluate liability, damages, and settlement exposure on higher-severity claims Maintain strong relationships with brokers, insureds, attorneys, and internal stakeholders Qualifications 4+ years medical malpractice / healthcare claims experience gained from an insurer or law firm.
