Patient Care Tech I – PCT – Prep / PACU Full time – Evening shift – 40 hours *The hours for this role are Mon to Fri, 3pm – 11:30pm The Johns Hopkins Hospital’s Zayed 3 Preoperative and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (Prep/PACU) is a 43-bed unit that provides services to patients undergoing surgery and interventional radiology procedures such as cervical decompression fixation/fusion, open reduction internal fixation, microvascular decompression, kidney transplant, craniectomy, cerebral arteriogram, Intercranial embolization, and trans arterial chemoembolization. Our unit supports the care provided in 14 operating rooms, 8 interventional radiology rooms, and 2 CT rooms. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required • Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required. • One year of clinical experience e.g., home care, outpatient, acute care (hospital preferred) technician experience during the most recent two years in a setting relevant to the unit; volunteer work as EMT or CRT may be considered. • BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted. Salary Range: Minimum $18.41/hour - Maximum $27.70/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
