Von Tobel is seeking a full-time lumberyard delivery driver for our Michigan City, IN location. Responsibilities: • Safely operate a variety of delivery trucks to include: flat bed, box truck, moffett truck and/or boom trucks. • Deliver loads to customers, job sites and residential homes. • Load and unload trucks. • Assist customers. • Operate forklift. • Keep management and dispatch apprised of any delays or discrepancies • Keep lumber yard and vehicles clean, well-organized and safe. Qualifications: • CDL or chauffeur’s license/for-hire endorsement. • Boom ABL crane certification a plus, but not required. • Safe driving record. • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds. • Familiar with building materials including lumber species a plus. • Previous experience in a lumber yard a plus. • Ability to work independently and as a team. • Detail oriented. • Ability to work outdoors. • This position requires a pre-employment drug test, criminal background check, motor vehicle driving record check, essential function screening and safety verifications as required by FMCSA/DOT.
