Full description
OEMS Intern responsibilities are diverse and often vary depending upon the student's and Department's needs. Recent OEMS Interns have focused on the AASHE STARS report data collection (typically conducted every three years), the annual Carbon Footprint data collection and web portal entry, carbon accounting principles and their applicability to IC, monthly themed event planning. The intern position is generally self-paced with a specific goal and general time frame decided upon between the intern and supervisor. OEMS Interns are expected to work ~10 hours/week includes regular review meeting with the Director of OEMS. Upon hire, the Intern is required to provide their academic schedule for planning purposes.
The specific tasks will vary for every intern, though the overarching focus is to help IC continue to progress positively toward reducing carbon emissions and meeting its varied sustainability commitments.
