What You'll Do as the Working Superintendent - Concrete Foundations: • Lead concrete foundation projects for electrical substations, switchyards, transmission facilities, and related infrastructure. • Manage projects from initial mobilization through completion, including crews, equipment, materials, and daily production. • Interpret engineered drawings and turn construction plans into safe, efficient field operations. • Oversee drilled piers, structural foundations, concrete pads, and related installation work. • Direct field crews of approximately 5-10 employees, with occasional responsibility for larger operations. • Coordinate equipment, manpower, materials, and jobsite resources to keep work moving. • Monitor construction quality, safety practices, production schedules, and project progress. • Work with customers, inspectors, subcontractors, and company leadership to resolve field issues. • Lead jobsite meetings and communicate schedule updates, resource needs, and project challenges. • Step in and assist crews with hands-on construction work when needed. • Maintain accountability for workmanship, safety, equipment, and jobsite performance. • Travel to projects throughout the central and western United States. Must-Haves as the Working Superintendent - Concrete Foundations: • Strong field experience in concrete foundations, drilled piers, drilled shafts, heavy civil construction, or closely related specialty foundation work. • Proven ability to independently lead construction crews and execute projects. • Ability to read engineered drawings and manage construction directly from plans. • Working knowledge of drilled pier installation and structural concrete foundation construction. • Experience coordinating field labor, equipment, materials, production, safety, and quality. • Willingness to work hands-on alongside the crew when necessary. • Comfort working outdoors in challenging weather and construction conditions. • Ability to travel extensively and remain on the road for extended periods, with home visits generally coordinated around project needs. • Valid driver's license and ability to satisfy applicable pre-employment screening requirements. • Strong communication, leadership, accountability, and problem-solving skills. Nice-to-Haves as the Working Superintendent - Concrete Foundations: • Approximately 5-7+ years of relevant field construction experience, although highly capable candidates with less experience will be considered. • Experience building drilled pier foundations for substations, switchyards, or transmission infrastructure. • Experience with slurry drilling, rock drilling, and temporary or permanent casing. • Experience working in challenging soil and ground conditions. • Background managing multiple crews or larger foundation projects. • Class A CDL with air brake qualification. • Experience as a Concrete Superintendent, Drilling Superintendent, Foundation Superintendent, or senior field foreman. • Established relationships with skilled foundation crews or foremen. The Company Offers: • Starting compensation generally ranging from $45-$55+ per hour, depending on experience. • Significant overtime opportunities, with weekly schedules commonly around 55-60 hours. • Company-paid lodging while traveling. • Additional $50 per day per diem when using company-provided lodging. • Alternative camper/RV allowance arrangements for qualifying employees. • Company pickup truck and job-related equipment. • Health insurance with the company paying approximately 80% of individual premiums. • Retirement plan with company contribution or match of up to 3%, subject to plan terms. • Seven paid holidays plus an additional company-observed holiday. • Paid vacation based on tenure. • Annual discretionary bonus opportunities. • Potential additional performance incentives and negotiated sign-on assistance for qualifying hires. • Opportunity to work with experienced, accessible owners who understand field construction. • Consistent project opportunities across multiple states. • A close-knit, team-oriented culture that values safety, quality, accountability, and long-term relationships. • No relocation to company headquarters required.
