Telemetry Technician - North Tele at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This position is Full-time and will work 12-hour, Day shifts. Performs cardiac telemetry monitoring and arrhythmia detection through continuous observation of the Central Monitoring system as a primary job responsibility and performs department clerical duties as a collateral responsibility. Required Qualifications: • Coursework/Training: Successful completion of Dysrhythmia Recognition Course. • Coursework/Training: Required to either have completed the “Basic Arrythmia” course or have demonstrated experience in rhythm interpretation. • Coursework/Training: Will require applicants to complete ECG test prior to job offer being extended. • Coursework/Training: Will be enrolled in an internally-developed online course as part of orientation. • Coursework/Training: Will have periodic competency assessment. • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association Preferred Qualifications: • H.S. Diploma or GED • Coursework/Training: Successful completion of Medical Terminology Course. • 6 months Experience in a hospital environment. Why Join Providence?
