As a Carpet Cleaning Trainee, you’ll earn $17/hour while we train you to become a Carpet Cleaning Technician, a role where average earnings start at $50,000 a year. Carpet Cleaning Trainee Duties and Responsibilities • Work alongside a Technician at residential and commercial jobs. • Learn to operate truck-mounted and portable carpet extraction equipment. • Mix cleaning solutions and use them to clean carpet and remove stains. • Move furniture and prepare each space for cleaning. • Clean, disinfect, and maintain equipment after each job. • Drive the company van when needed. • Spot and report possible repairs, and help collect customer payments. • Follow all company policies, with special attention to health and safety procedures. Carpet Cleaning Trainee Experience and Qualifications • No carpet cleaning experience required. We’ll teach you everything. • Previous cleaning experience of any kind (janitorial, housekeeping, detailing) or general labor experience is a plus. • High school diploma or equivalent. • A valid driver’s license. • A strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn and grow. • The ability to take direction and pay close attention to detail. • Professionalism with customers and teammates. Schedule and physical requirements • On-call: You will be added to our on-call rotation to help respond to client emergencies. • Physical demands: This is an active, hands-on job. You’ll stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb throughout the day, and you must be able to lift and move items over 50 lbs. Your path to Technician • Carpet Cleaning Trainee (formal training track, 3–6 months): $17/hour • Carpet Cleaning Technician: Commission-based pay. Average earnings start at $50,000/year, with no cap. Our formal training track pairs you with experienced Technicians on real jobs. Over 3–6 months, you’ll learn our equipment, products, and process, from stain removal to running a job start to finish.
