Carpet Cleaning Technician Duties and Responsibilities • Deliver high-quality carpet, rug, and upholstery cleaning for residential and commercial customers. • Run jobs on your own from start to finish, using truck-mounted and portable extraction equipment. • Drive a company vehicle to customer locations across the Ypsilanti and Detroit area. • Safely move furniture and prepare each space before cleaning. • Spot stains, damage, and repair needs, and recommend the right services to each customer. • Give every customer a professional, friendly experience that earns repeat business and referrals. • Follow all company policies, with special attention to health and safety procedures. Carpet Cleaning Technician Experience and Qualifications • 2 years of carpet cleaning experience, including carpet repairs. • A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a motor vehicle record check. • Able to be on-call every other week. • Drive and self-motivation. You want to grow your income and you’re willing to work for it. • Strong customer service skills. You listen well and can explain options clearly. • The ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently or as part of a team. Schedule and physical requirements • On-call: Technicians are on call every other week. On-call jobs are another chance to boost your earnings. • Physical demands: This is an active, hands-on job. You’ll stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb throughout the day, and lift and move items over 50 lbs. Pay and training • Paid hourly training (4–6 weeks): $18/hour • After training: Commission-based pay. Average earnings start at $50,000/year, with no cap. No guesswork on day one. Our hands-on training program teaches you our equipment, our products, and our process, and you’re paid $18/hour the whole time. Once you complete training, you switch to commission and your earnings are driven by the jobs you complete. Technicians who pick up more work earn well beyond the average.
