Full description
Book of the Month is looking for a Procurement Coordinator who cares about the details behind a great product. As part of the Operations team, this role will support procurement efforts for physical products beyond the books themselves, such as packaging and branded merchandise. Working closely with internal stakeholders, this role will help keep orders accurate, on time, and on budget. This is a fast-paced, collaborative role that requires strong follow-through and the ability to keep many moving pieces on track.
What you will do...
• Maintain daily communication with external vendors, building strong partnerships while managing order updates and lead times.
• Manage the PO process from submission through delivery, keeping orders accurate and on schedule.
• Support project-based RFQs by sending requests, gathering quotes, and preparing side-by-side comparisons.
• Partner with Creative, Growth, Member Experience, and Finance to turn each team’s needs into clear, actionable requests.
• Prepare and maintain cost sheets, sourcing reports, and a centralized vendor tracker.
• Flag delays, risks, or discrepancies early and follow through to resolution.
• Research and share ideas for improving packaging and merchandise quality at comparable cost.
About you…
• 0–2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, with the ability to build reports and analyze data.
• Strong organization skills and keen attention to detail, including managing multiple orders, timelines, and priorities at once.
• Clear communication with vendors and stakeholders, and skill in building strong working relationships across teams.
• A proactive approach, including noticing when information is missing or something needs attention and taking the next step.
• The ability to learn new systems, ask thoughtful questions, and apply feedback.
• A genuine interest in e-commerce and physical products and an eye for what makes something well made are a plus.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
