Company: Peak JCB Location: Boise, Idaho Job Title: Mobile/Shop Heavy Equipment Mechanic Peak JCB is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team! The technician is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, reconditioning, overhaul and maintenance of customer heavy equipment and/or components. Responsibilities: • Able to work out of a service truck in our shop yard and on customer job sites • Repairs heavy equipment engine and components • Able to read schematics (both electrical and hydraulic) • Prepares inspection and appraisal reports • Correctly charges work to appropriate work order segments • Prepares accurate and complete service reports and turns in on time • Communicates effectively with Service Writer, and/or Shop Manager to ensure problems, nature of repair, and status of repairs are understood and followed up on • Works in a cooperative manner with other team members to accomplish the goals of the shop and the company • Cleans, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and components • Removes, disassembles, assembles, and installs components and parts • Orders replacement parts, ensuring that parts orders are correct and complete at the time of order • Tests, measures, and adjusts engine and machine systems and components • Diagnoses and Repairs machine and engine malfunctions and failures • Keeps up to date with developments in tooling, technologies, and systems • Uses safe working practices and follows all company safety requirements Requirements: • 4+ years of experience in electrical, drive train, engines, hydraulics and computer controlled systems. • High School Diploma or GED, with graduation from an accredited technical school in diesel engine or heavy equipment repair preferred. • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record • Able to lift up to 40 lbs • Capable of communicating effectively and professionally with customers • Maintain Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR & ability to pass DOT physical Benefits: • Competitive hourly rate; DOE • Affordable Medical, Dental, Vision • 401k Retirement Planning w/ company match • Paid Time Off (PTO) • Paid training • Opportunity for growth and development • M-F schedule (some OT); paid holidays Peak Industrial Company is made up of four different businesses that span across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Montana, and Texas.
