Employment Information • Location: Santa Maria • Part-Time: $20.25 / hour • Mileage reimbursement • $10/month cell phone stipend • Tuesdays, Fridays, & Weekends (Flexible) Benefits • Health care benefits and PTO available if you transition to full time employment • Discounts on Pet Insurance • Cal-Savers retirement plan • $500 Sign On Bonus (In 2 installments, $250 upon completion of 30 days & 90 days after your first official in person non-training shift) Your Responsibilities • Support participants with daily living skills such as cleaning, cooking, and budgeting • Encourage and model independence, hobbies, and social activities • Assist participants access and participate in community activities • Assist with personal care such as medication support, hygiene and bathing (lifting / transferring may be required) • Collaborate Person-Centered Care planning with participant • Record progress of care plan Who We’re Looking For • Someone who is compassionate with a person-centered mindset • Someone who is capable of communication with dignity and respect, especially during challenging moments • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation • Responsible, and can assist in goal progress tracking • CPR / First Aid certification (Training will be provided if you’re not certified or need to be recertified) • Weekend Availability (Is a plus but not required) Candidate Expectations of Development • Behavior Support & De-escalation: Support individuals through heightened emotional responses, complex behaviors, and sensory overload using proactive redirection and calming techniques. • Emotional Regulation: Recognize early signs of stress or escalation and guide individuals through personalized self-regulation strategies. • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed shift logs and progress notes.
