Summary In the role of Garage Door Technician Apprentice, you will play a pivotal role by assisting in the installation, maintenance, & repair of garage doors, rolling doors, dock equipment, and related systems. Prior experience is preferred but not required, as we provide thorough on-the-job training. Duties • Assist with the installation of garage door products per the manufacturer's specifications. • Gather and prepare materials needed for installation and service jobs. • Maintain paperwork and records as necessary. • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment. Requirements • Must be at least 18 years of age. • Must possess a valid Driver’s License. • Must have an accepted MVR to be added to our auto insurance policy. • Must have dependable & reliable transportation to and from your base office location. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in garage door service/install or similar skilled trade. • Basic knowledge of construction, hand tools, and/or electrical. • Mechanical inclination Skills • Willingness to learn • Excellent attention to detail • Customer service-oriented mindset • Adaptability to a changing work environment • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment • Strong communication and interpersonal skills Work Conditions • Non-climate-controlled environment – will be working in all weather conditions. • Frequently walking, standing, bending, climbing ladders, using lift equipment, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
