Description The Registered Nurse (RN) will: • Provide nursing care to patients following the Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, within the framework of the Department of Nursing, and in conjunction with Specialty-Specific Standards of Patient Care. • Utilize the Nursing Process to make nursing judgments and assumes responsibilities for nursing care and documentation to include delegation of work to other levels of employees. • Ensure practice meets compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care. Premium Per Diem positions requires a minimum of three (3) shifts per week for a unit scheduling with 12-hour shifts and four (4) shifts per week for a unit scheduling with 8-hour shift per week. Requirements • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing • Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or compact state RN license in good standing • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (preferred) • Basic Dysrhythmia • De-escalation Training (Required completion at first course offering after hire) • Procedural Sedation skills (Required within three (3) months of hire) • Aseptic technique (Required within three (3) months of hire) • Six (6) months of nursing experience is desirable for specialty areas • Nursing Care Knowledge through the lifespan • Effective people skills and communication • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office products • Proficiency in the use of technology in care delivery Salary Range: The Premium Per Diem role is $65.00 per hour and is not eligible for differential pay (i.e., "per diem", "shift", "weekend" or "holiday").
