Job Details: Job Location: FL - Saint Leo - St Leo, FL, Position Type: Salary - Exempt, Salary Range: $50000.00 - $60000.00Salary/year, Job Shift: Full Time, Job Category: Marketing, ABOUT GENUINE FOODS
At Genuine Foods we create nourishing food environments at schools and workplaces through great-tasting and wholesome meals, made from genuine ingredients. We are a growing social enterprise that uses food to enhance health, productivity, and happiness. We believe that fresh, scratch-made food together with unparalleled service and meaningful enrichment programs can transform lives and build community. Food service management is what we do, but what we achieve together with our customers, our partners and our dedicated team goes beyond the plate.
ABOUT THE POSITION
At Saint Leo University, we want the dining hall to feel like the heart of campus. We’re building a program students choose: signature scratch food, themed takeovers, hands-on classes and hospitality they notice at every counter.
The Marketing Manager is the person who makes that visible. You will own the student experience outside the kitchen: what students see, hear, read and take part in, in the dining hall, at retail locations and online. You will work alongside our chefs and front-of-house team every day, and you will have real room to create. This role includes some evenings and weekends for events and late-night service.
The role comes with free tuition for any program at Saint Leo University, so you can grow your career and your education at the same time.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and run regular dining programming: themed events, station takeovers and seasonal promotions, on a calendar built with the culinary team and campus partners
Organize and host hands-on student classes on cooking, nutrition and food skills
Create menu, station and promotional signage, including allergen labeling
Own the front-of-house experience: visual merchandising, music and atmosphere, and simple daily standards the team can follow every meal period
Manage dining social media and keep web content current, including listings and reviews for retail locations
Gather student feedback and track results such as turnout, engagement, reviews and participation
Manage the unit marketing budget and lead student marketing helpers
Qualifications: You'll thrive here if you:
Are tapped into today's student experience: what students eat, share, follow and show up for
Love creating fun, welcoming spaces and experiences that bring people together
Have an eye for design and display
Are comfortable on social media and in front of a room of students
Like variety and take initiative without waiting to be asked
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, design or a related field, or equivalent passion and a portfolio that shows it
Fluency with the social platforms students use
Basic design skills (Canva, Adobe or similar)
Ability to work some evenings and weekends and to set up events
Preferred
Recent graduate or current campus involvement, such as student leadership, orientation, campus activities or residence life
1 to 2 years in marketing, events, hospitality or campus life (internships count)
Experience with food service, retail or college campuses
Photography or short-form video skills
Benefits and Perks:
Free tuition for any program at Saint Leo University, undergraduate or graduate
Medical, dental and vision insurance
Paid time off
Meals during shifts
A creative role with room to grow at a company that is building its Higher Ed program
Genuine Values:
Trustworthiness: Integrity, transparency, reliability, consistency, and delivery excellence.
Personal Accountability: Ownership in solving problems, no excuses, learning from mistakes, and financial stewardship without sacrificing quality.
People First: Human-centered solutions, teamwork, hospitality, empathy, and cultural responsiveness.
Entrepreneurial: Adaptable, nimble, willing to go the extra mile, responsive, and encouraged to try new things.
Genuine: Commitment to real, tasty, scratch-cooked healthy food, authentic interactions, honesty, positivity, and professionalism.
