In this role you will be: • Monitor behavioral health grounds and interior spaces to ensure a safe and secure environment. • Perform regular security checks, patrols, and surveillance via security systems or physical rounds. • Check all patient belongings before entrance and document thoroughly. • Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies involving patients, staff, or visitors. • Assist in de-escalating volatile situations using approved crisis intervention techniques. • Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring only authorized individuals enter secure areas. • Maintain accurate and detailed incident reports, logs, and shift summaries. • Collaborate with clinical staff to support patient safety needs during interventions or transfers. • Escort patients, visitors, or personnel as necessary. • Uphold confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times. • Report hazards, security breaches, or maintenance issues promptly. • Attend required safety and behavioral health training sessions, including CPI or equivalent. QUALIFICATIONS Required: • EDUCATION: High school graduate or GED equivalent • EXPERIENCE: Previous safety/security experience preferred • LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: • Valid PA driver’s license • BLS required or obtained within 1 month of hire
