GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE: Role Summary Designs, develops, tests, and maintains business applications for Aon's global technology function, delivering high-quality, secure, and maintainable software aligned with functional and technical requirements across markets. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and unit-test application code based on business and technical requirements • Participate in the full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment, support • Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following coding standards and best practices • Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure quality releases via CI/CD pipelines • Troubleshoot and resolve defects and production issues • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices • Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and third-party services • Stay current with relevant frameworks, languages, and development tools Required Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • 10+ years of application development experience in relevant languages/frameworks • Experience with modern development practices: version control (Git), CI/CD, Agile/Scrum • Cloud platform exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus Technical Skills • Programming languages: Java, C#/.NET, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript (per stack) • Web frameworks: Spring Boot, .NET Core, React/Angular, Node.js (as applicable) • Databases: SQL (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and/or NoSQL • Version control and CI/CD: Git, Jenkins/GitLab CI/Azure DevOps • API development and integration: REST, JSON • Testing frameworks and practices (unit, integration testing) Core Competencies • Strong problem-solving and coding discipline • Collaboration within Agile/Scrum teams • Attention to detail and code quality • Ownership of assigned features/modules end-to-end • Adaptability to new technologies and requirements 2588216
