The Business Unit Finance (BUF) Program is a part of the broader Amazon Finance Rotational Program (AFRP). The AFRP – Business Unit Financial Analyst role is a two-year rotational program that starts aspiring leaders within the Finance Global Business Services (FGBS) organization. The AFRP - BUF program has (2) yearlong rotations across business units. Participants will develop technical skills while partnering with their business teams to drive process improvements, new business growth, and/or cost out opportunities. At the end of 2 years, participants will be positioned to take on higher responsibility with a broad scope of roles available. Responsibilities include preparation and reporting of financial performance for weekly, monthly, and annual reviews, producing meaningful operational metrics to help drive performance and achieve business objectives, and applying financial acumen and technical understanding to provide insights on growth, profitability, capital investment, and cash flow. Successful candidates will bring diverse perspectives and varied experiences (whether from school, life, or past jobs). This role is based in Seattle, WA (relocation assistance provided, if eligible), and requires the ability to begin full-time employment on August 9, 2027. Key job responsibilities - Diving deep into data to support a recommendation and driving resolutions - Conducting financial analysis to help identify capital investment requirements and/or cost reduction opportunities - Designing and maintaining insightful reporting to enable business partners to take action - Interpreting and communicating project results and standard work to finance and business partner leadership Basic qualifications - Are 18 years of age or older - Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a bachelor's degree or higher in finance, economics, accounting, business administration and management, or a related field Preferred qualifications - Intermediate (e.g., xlookup)/advanced Excel skills (e.g., Write/edit VBA) - Work, internship, or other leadership experience in a professional environment - Strong academic, leadership, and/or extracurricular record - Understanding of business fundamentals and accounting concepts - Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication with a keen focus on delivering business results - Demonstrated track record in using data and metrics to make decisions and build scalable solutions - Ability to influence across all levels of an organization - Ability to act strategically and make decisions under ambiguity - Strong organizational and time management skills Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
