Full description

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Excellent at working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to address big picture challenges. You are both a manager and a mentor, providing financial leadership and analytical support to partners of the core Finance team as well as giving your own team the support they need to become financial experts. You'll keep management informed on key financial metrics and work to improve financial operation practices throughout your region. The goal of FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) is to create financial insights that make Google better by unpacking complex business problems to drive business growth, reveal opportunities, manage risk, and steward scarce resources. Our impact is fueled by a bias to action, grounding in hard data, comfort with ambiguity, courage in advocacy, and willingness to put the team before the individual. Our team applies this mission to Google One and Photos in coordination with the cross-finance, cross-functional and cross-product area teams. The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $219000 - $305000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits Learn more about benefits at Google. Responsibilities • Partner with cross-functional product teams (such as Gemini, YouTube, and Search) to execute go-to-market strategies and accelerate consumer AI subscriber growth. • Develop investment and risk management strategies to optimize subscription business, expand the subscriber base, and drive cost efficiencies. • Build frameworks and tracking infrastructure to evaluate key growth drivers and measure the return on investment (ROI) of marketing and go-to-market spend. • Deliver data-driven financial analysis and construct high-impact executive presentations to keep leadership and key stakeholders strategically informed. • Lead complex collaborative projects and manage a team of financial analysts, fostering a growth mindset through direct mentoring. Minimum qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience. • 14 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function. • Experience building, developing and leading a team. • Experience executing full-cycle FP&A functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling within a multinational company setting. Preferred qualifications: • Experience with Finance and FP&A. • Experience working with, and communicating with executives. • Demonstrated impactful performance in prior role(s), with increasing levels of responsibility. • Excellent communication skills. • Excellent business partnering skills including proven ability to cultivate strong cross-functional relationships, work in a changing environment and drive operational initiatives.
