Steering Control Systems & Software Engineer
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Analyze and refine system and software requirements for automotive steering systems (EPS, Steer-by-Wire, etc.), ensuring functional consistency and traceability.
• Define and document system and software functional requirements, considering steering control strategies, operating modes, performance targets, and safety constraints.
• Design system and software functional architectures for steering control functions, including interfaces, signals, and data flows.
• Develop and optimize steering control algorithms using Model-Based Design with MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow.
• Contribute to the development of steering functions such as steering assistance, torque control, position control, steering feel, and fault management.
• Perform model verification and validation activities, including static analysis and Model-in-the-Loop (MiL) testing.
• Generate embedded C code and ensure compliance with applicable coding standards (e.g., MISRA-C).
• Perform Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) testing to verify control algorithms against system and software requirements.
• Support software integration and validation on steering ECUs, including debugging and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with system, software, hardware, and validation teams throughout the V-cycle to ensure functional consistency, traceability, and quality.
YOUR PROFILE:
• Master's degree or Engineering degree in Embedded Systems, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in automotive system and/or software development, including hands-on experience with steering systems (EPS, Steer-by-Wire, or similar technologies).
• Mandatory experience in steering control functions, control algorithms, or system architecture.
• Strong knowledge of automotive control systems, including closed-loop control, torque and position control, and feedback strategies.
• Solid experience in system and software requirements analysis, functional architecture design, and V-cycle development.
• Experience in Model-Based Design using MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow, particularly for control algorithm development.
• Good understanding of MiL/SiL testing, embedded C code generation, and software integration.
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN/CAN-FD) and functional safety standards (ISO 26262).
• Experience in technical coordination, customer interactions, or technical leadership is considered an asset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously and manage complex technical topics.
