Job Overview Fairview is looking for a Cook at our UMMC - West Bank location, in Minneapolis, MN!This position is about 28 hours bi-weekly, on day and evening shift. This position is not benefit eligible. Prepares and portions food, assembles and disassembles patient trays in a safe manner. Serves customers, delivers, and retrieves patient trays. Schedule Week 1: Monday 330PM-730PM Tuesday 330PM-730PM Wednesday 330PM-730PM Saturday 1130AM-8PM Sunday 1130AM-8PM Week 2: Responsibilities • Prepares food products to meet temperature and quality standards. • Follows standardized recipes weighing and measuring ingredients to assure products are consistent in quality and nutritional value. • Assemble food within appropriate time frames. • Handle and prepare food in safe manner following HACCP standardized operating procedures • Takes and documents temperatures of food items and makes appropriate adjustments to achieve standards. • Sanitizes equipment and work area per assigned schedules and designated procedure. • Takes ownership for self and others in work area. • Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served. Required Qualifications • One to three years cook experience • Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, using the English language. • Basic math skills. • Certified or willing to become certified for food safety Preferred Qualifications • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
