Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Project Services Intern to join the Electrical Infrastructure Team in West Hartford, CT. The Project Services Intern will perform system design, system layout, and supporting component design using a combination of CAD software and custom applications. The ideal candidate will be available for a summer internship from May through August 2027. Main Activities: • Organization: Individual Contributor competency model. • Main Interface: Internal—Project Managers and Manufacturing; External—Customers. • Budget: No direct budgetary responsibilities. Main Job Duties: • Prepare manufacturing documentation using SOLIDWORKS applications. • Provide technical support to internal customers. • Perform other similar and related duties as required. Education: • Mechanical or electrical coursework preferred or equivalent work experience. Experience: • Three years of coursework with group design projects preferred, but not required. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: • Good drafting skills. • SOLIDWORKS experience required. • AutoCAD experience is a plus. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to read and understand drawings (mechanical, electrical, and architectural), as well as bills of material/cut lists. • Ability to read and understand specifications. • Basic understanding of electrical principles, NEC code requirements, and UL preferred. • Microsoft Office Suite. • Ability to work on a cross-functional team.
