Admission nurses are responsible for orienting new patients to the hospice program, assisting the patient and caregiver with all the legal paperwork, and completing a thorough nursing assessment. • Part-Time (2 ten hour shifts on Thursday & Friday) • Must be comfortable driving Qualifications • The candidate must be willing to travel throughout the Bay Area. This position involves regular driving over long distances, so comfort with travel is essential • Minimum 1 year of hospice experience, SNF, or hospital experience • Ability to establish both hospice eligibility and diagnosis when patient is appropriate • Willingness to travel to meet our patients where they live (private homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, etc.) • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance • Registered Nursing Licensure in the state of California
