Job Description Summary The Communications Manager will play a key role in shaping the associate experience through clear, engaging and strategic communications. Partnering closely with Human Resources and teams across the firm, this individual will develop and implement communication strategies that deepen associates’ understanding of the firm’s culture, business priorities and company vision. The manager will translate complex information into relevant, accessible messaging and deliver communications across a variety of channels, helping clients achieve their objectives while ensuring communications are thoughtful, consistent and aligned with the firm’s broader priorities. This individual will be a proactive, solutions-oriented partner who exercises sound judgment, makes informed decisions and brings strong project management skills to effectively manage multiple priorities and initiatives. Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Provides strategic direction, message development, and communication planning primarily for Human Resources, but also other internal departments as needed • Uses strong storytelling abilities to enhance associate engagement and build greater understanding of the firm’s priorities, culture and vision. • Consults with stakeholders to identify communications goals and objectives; executes solutions for high-impact projects/initiatives. • Provides detailed tactical support and oversees communication plans • Partner effectively to provide strategic communications counsel and advice • Develop written and visual communications for a variety of channels • Monitors channel absorption; prepares reports for management from metrics and other data, recommends channel content alterations and improvements • Manages the implementation of communication projects • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned • Establishes and maintains relationships throughout the firm • Effectively represent firm's values and communication principles within meetings Knowledge of: • Communication strategies and tactics • Concepts, principles, practices, and techniques for writing and developing communications plans and related content • Microsoft Outlook suite • Canva • Financial industry experience is not required, but a benefit Skills and Competencies: • Creative and technical writing • Visual communications • Storytelling • Attend to detail while maintaining a big picture orientation • A continuous improvement mindset • Proactive and self-starting • Ability to think logically, analyze and solve problems • Manage confidential firm information prior to internal or public release • Make independent decisions when appropriate • Influence decision making and action when appropriate • Facilitate meetings, ensuring that all viewpoints, ideas, and problems are addressed • Incorporate needs, wants, and goals from different business unit perspectives into communications plans, while being an advocate for audiences and communications best practices. • Organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment • Provide a high level of customer service Education Bachelor’s - Completed: Communications, Bachelor’s - Completed: Marketing, Bachelor’s - Completed: Public Relations Work Experience General Experience - 3 to 6 years Certifications Travel Less than 25% Workstyle Hybrid The total compensation for this position includes base salary or wages, and may include components such as additional compensation (cash or equity), discretionary bonuses, or commissions.
