We are currently searching for a Project Manager for a provider of IT solutions and services to commercial clients in the Tri-State area. The Project Manager will run multiple simultaneous projects with an emphasis on structured cabling. RESPONSIBILITIES • Define scope of project and team members’ roles and responsibilities • Provide comprehensive support for projects and produce client and internal deliverable documentation as it relates to the scope and needs of each project • Develop a project plan during the analysis and design phase of the project • Establish cable plant and equipment budget/estimates, project objectives and expectations, scope change control policy, and project progress reporting • Understand copper and fiber optic infrastructure, including pathways, riser spaces, IDF/MDFs and data centers • Continually monitor the project for margins and resources/cost analysis, preparing schedules/timelines and communicating with all levels of management • Provide weekly status reports to client and stakeholders • Identify, track and communicate issues to appropriate management to help ensure a timely resolution • Attend all project meetings with client and trades • Manage multiple projects and project teams simultaneously • Oversee a project in its entirety from proposal to implementation and through day two support • Develop and track project spend budgets • Coordinate training and post-cutover support • Develop and track all job change orders • Create PO’s for all material orders • Maintain close and consistent contact with the client to ensure all requirements are met and understood • Perform postmortem on all major initiatives and share results with colleagues REQUIREMENTS • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Project Management • Experience managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously • Significant experience managing large structured cabling projects • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project • Experience scheduling, supervising, and managing technicians onsite • Excellent organizational and time management skills • High level of attention to detail • Excellent communication and documentation skills
