We are seeking Production Packers to join our client’s manufacturing team in Athol, MA. In this role, you will beresponsible for producing product to documented quality specifications, maintaining area activities, reviewing production packets, quality of finished product and estimating hours required for completion of individual job assignments. Working according to schedules and control documents and expediting workflow and adjusts routine to meet production schedules and priorities established. Duties and Responsibilities • Assures Quality Level and Productivity Performance Standards are met. • Assures that all manufacturing areas are operated according to requirements. • Quality Management System (QMS), Health and Safety and Environment Management System (EMS) to ensure compliance. • Assures the maintenance of required data and that reports are completed on a regular basis in regards to the production. • Capable of reading each order carefully and understanding specific work instructions and will receive certified training by appropriate trainers. • Calculate number of boxes and packaging required before production can run. • Be able to close out orders in accordance with work instructions. • Relieves, fills in for breaks and lunches if needed to maintain coverage on active lines when necessary. • Assures that all Health and Safety Requirements are observed and that areas are maintained in a neat and orderly condition. • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds • Will be familiar with raw materials and know different materials by name. • Must be available to work a flexible schedule including some holidays and weekends if necessary. • Use hand and power tools and other equipment as needed. • Bar code scanner gun proficiency (required for inventory receipt and move transactions) • Wraps and builds crates for shipments (support international medical customer over-pack requirements) as needed • Completes other various duties as assigned or required by management. Physical Demands • Able to lift 50 pounds repetitively. • Able to work up to 12 hour rotating shifts. • Able to stand on concrete for extended periods of time. • Able to reach, lift, bend and climb frequently throughout shift Qualifications • Proven experience in manufacturing or packaging environments. • Familiarity with packaging equipment, industrial tools, hand tools, and material handling equipment operation a plus. • Basic math skills. • Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments; committed to maintaining a safe workplace. • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Shift availability: • Overnight Shift (Preferred) • Day Shift (Preferred)
