Job Title: Anesthesia Technician Location: Cooperman Barnabas Medical Ctr Department Name: Anesthesiology Req #: 0000222790 Status: Hourly Shift: Day Pay Range: $20.99 - $26.32 per hour Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. JOB SUMMARY: Assembles supplies and equipment needed in all procedure areas. Manages inventory, ordering, and stocking of anesthesia supplies. Prepares medications, intravenous solutions, and transducers. Assists in the transportation of patients, induction of anesthesia and introduction of lines, and performs output tests under the supervision of the anesthesiologist. Cleans anesthesia equipment daily, and calibrates machinery. Acts as a liaison between Physician, Anesthesia Coordinator and OR Director. Attends pertinent in-service programs. EDUCATION: • High school graduate or equivalent. REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to type medical documents accurately and efficiently. • BLS Healthcare Provider certification (American Heart Association) required. • Basic knowledge of aseptic techniques and hospital supplies. • Successful completion of Anesthesia Technician programs. • American Society of Anesthesia Technologist and Technicians (ASATT) certification required.
