A typical day for a MRI Technician may include: • Assists Physicians as needed • Assists in the orientation of new staff and/or students • Competent in the use of RIS & PACS system, and other IT programs utilized. • Maintains a neat, clean and stocked work area. • Obtains proper medical history and insures accurate patient demographic and medical information. • Performs all standard techniques for procedure protocols • Recognizes the significant of all structures visualized and is able to differentiate normal from abnormal and recognizes artifacts. Understands when to seek advice • Reports equipment problems to supervising Technologist • May perform other duties as assigned or directed by management.
