Job Title Travel RN – Medical / Surgical (Nights) Location Alexandria, LA | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Projected Start: October 2026 Key Responsibilities • Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process — including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned patients on a basic Medical/Surgical unit • Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatment plans • Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice • Document patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner • Assess patient and family learning needs; provide education and identify appropriate resources • Float to similar clinical settings as required Required Qualifications • Active RN license in the state of employment or a valid Compact RN license • BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required • Minimum 1 year of experience in a Medical/Surgical nursing specialty • Willingness and ability to float to the same or similar clinical settings • Availability to work every other weekend as required Preferred Experience / Skills • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred • Experience with Epic EMR • Familiarity with a 5:1 or 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio environment Why Join Us • Expected weekly hours of 36 or 48 hours available, offering scheduling flexibility to fit your needs • Temp-to-permanent conversion may be a possibility, providing a potential path to a long-term opportunity
