Position Description Responsible for setting up and operating AMADA FO fiber laser cutting equipment to produce precision sheet‑metal parts safely, efficiently, and to specification. Key Responsibilities • Performs all set up and operation of equipment in the laser cell. • Set up to include, but not limited to: ensuring the proper settings for the laser machine, proper placement of raw material into the tower system and removal and segregation of finished parts from the tower system. • Must evaluate laser cut edge of part and make decisions concerning various machine adjustments to assure the optimum edge quality. • Responsible for safe operation of equipment using all related safety devices. • Works from verbal and/or written instructions from supervisors. • May perform experimental and developmental work as required. • Will work closely with engineering to correct program and machine issues. • May need to make minor program modifications via CNC machine control. • Will perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Education & Qualifications • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing environment. Preferably experience in operating laser cutting machines. • Must be able to read blueprints and use a variety of measuring instruments to determine the accuracy of setup.
