Pay: • $24.15/hr (without MHRT-I) • $24.70/hr (with MHRT-I certification) About the Role As a Residential Support Worker II, you'll provide compassionate, hands-on support to adults living with severe and persistent mental illness. You'll assist residents with daily living, help implement treatment plans, support crisis interventions, and maintain a safe and welcoming home environment. Key Responsibilities • Assist residents with daily living (meals, hygiene, chores, etc.) • Provide medication administration/supervision • Offer crisis support and supportive counseling • Support treatment plan goals and promote independence • Maintain cleanliness and safety of residence (light maintenance, snow removal, safety checks) • Transport residents to appointments or ER as needed • Accurately complete documentation and reports • Collaborate with staff, families, and external providers Requirements • High School Diploma or GED required • 2–3 years of experience in mental health or related field preferred • MHRT-I certification (or willingness to complete within 12 months) • PSS experience a plus • Valid Maine driver’s license in good standing • Strong communication, crisis response, and documentation skills • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs, assist with physical support when needed Benefits for PT • Paid Leave Benefits for FT • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance • 401(k) with Employer Match after 1 year • Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance • Paid Time Off • Life Insurance • Flexible spending account About Shalom House Inc.
