Job Description Summary: The Lead Specialist, Benefits and Authorization - Specialty Operations is responsible for processing benefit verification or authorization for new and existing patients and acts as a team lead by assisting the Supervisor or Manager in training team members, resolving complex issues and leading special assignments. Job Description: ​ Job Responsibilities • Processes benefit verification or authorization for all new and existing patients with speed and accuracy. • Provides training and mentoring for new hires. • Assist Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed Supervisory Responsibilities Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? (i.e. hiring, recommending/approving promotions and pay increases, scheduling, performance reviews, discipline, etc.) No Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent is required. • Minimum of two years of experience in related experience. • Healthcare/medical billing experience preferred. Basic Qualifications • Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities at one time. • Ability to work in a fast past environment. • High degree of self-discipline in maintaining productivity expectations. • Must be detail-oriented and have a high degree of quality focus.
