The SCM Associate is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of trending products to be distributed across H Mart locations. This role focuses on maximizing warehouse-level profitability through strategic vendor management, market trend analysis, and meticulous data management within the SAP system. Responsibilities but not limited to: • Lead negotiations with vendors regarding product availability, specifications, distribution logistics, deadlines, and pricing to ensure optimal COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) • Continuously evaluate existing and potential suppliers based on product quality, pricing competitiveness, documentation compliance, and shipping reliability • Identify and purchase new, trending items to maintain H Mart’s competitive edge in the market • Perform regular market analysis and competitive shopping to stay ahead of consumer trends • Analyze sales trends to identify "the next big hit" and coordinate marketing efforts for new arrivals • Investigate and provide timely responses to inventory or product issues reported from the field/stores • Generate and review daily/weekly sales reports to monitor performance and profitability at the warehouse level • Create and maintain accurate Item Master Data in SAP, including Item Descriptions, Scan Codes (UPC), and pricing • Analyze data to identify slow-moving items and implement strategies to improve warehouse turnover Qualifications / Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field • 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or SCM (preferably in the retail or food industry) • Proficiency in SAP (Item Master, PO creation) is highly preferred • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) for data analysis • Detail-oriented, strong negotiation skills, and a proactive mindset for trend spotting • Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean is often preferred for vendor communication Benefits: • Health, Dental & Vision insurance / EAP (Employee Assistance Program) per company policy • 401 (k) Retirement Plan with up to 5% match per company policy • Life Insurance and AD&D (Accidental death & Dismemberment) per company policy • BTA Insurance (Business Travel Accident Coverage) • Company provided lunch • Paid-time off (PTO) and Paid Holidays per company policy • Celebration & Condolence Benefits per company policy • Smart Card: Earn additional 4 points to the standard $1 = 1 point • Holiday Gift certificates per company policy • FSA (Flexible Spending Account) per company policy • DCFSA (Dependent Child Care Spending Account) per company policy Work Hours: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Mon-Fri Salary: $50,800 - $70,000 *Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors.
