Description Position Title: Account Manager Department: Falls Reports To: Manager, Client Strategy Level: Staff Work Location: Hybrid Direct Reports: NA FLSA Status: Exempt Summary: The Account Manager independently manages larger or more complex client relationships while executing public relations and communications work that supports client objectives. This role serves as a primary day-to-day client contact, manages assigned work and deliverables, and collaborates with internal resources to meet client needs. The Account Manager executes against established strategies, provides client counsel and recommendations, and applies greater experience and judgment to complex client needs and opportunities. Duties and Responsibilities: • Client Relationship Management: Independently manage larger or more complex client relationships, requests, expectations, and assigned scopes of work. • Public Relations & Communications: Execute public relations and communications activities, including writing, messaging, media materials, pitches, content, presentations, and other client deliverables. • Media Relations: Develop story ideas and strategic pitches, lead media outreach, maintain media relationships, and identify earned-media opportunities. • Strategy & Execution: Understand client business objectives and established strategies, translate them into effective execution, and provide day-to-day client counsel and recommendations. • Account Management: Manage account budgets, timelines, priorities, deliverables, and performance and proactively address client, scope, financial, or delivery concerns. • Integrated Collaboration: Coordinate with other Falls resources to deliver integrated client work and provide guidance to less-experienced team members as appropriate. • Client Retention & Growth: Support client retention, anticipate evolving client needs, and identify organic-growth opportunities in partnership with Client Strategy leadership. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: • Knowledge of client relationship management, account management, integrated marketing, communications, or related professional services • Ability to develop strong client relationships and understand client business and marketing objectives • Understanding of account planning, client retention, organic growth, and revenue development • Financial acumen with the ability to manage client scopes, budgets, revenue, and account performance • Strong knowledge of public relations, media relations, communications, and client service • Strong writing, editing, presentation, and communication skills • Strong organization, judgment, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, business, or a related field • Minimum of 4 years of progressive public relations, communications, or client-service experience • Experience developing communications materials and leading media relations activities • Experience independently managing client relationships and providing client counsel • Agency or professional-services experience preferred
