Job Details: Job Location: PMC-Annapolis, MD Corps - ANNAPOLIS, MD, Position Type: Seasonal Full Time, Education Level: High School Diploma/GED, Salary Range: $15.00 - $16.00Hourly, Travel Percentage: Greater than 50%, LOCATION:  Annapolis, MD Corps POSITION:  Seasonal Driver POSITION TYPE:  full-time, seasonal (may work 6 days weekly) PAY RANGE:  $15.00 - $16.00 hourly This position is responsible for: Driving a Salvation Army vehicle in order to transport passengers and Red Kettle equipment to bell ringing locations.  Key Responsibilities: Provides transportation for bell ringers to kettle sites and the Corps Picks-up Angel Tree donations from various sites for transport to warehouse. Picks-up and delivers miscellaneous items as needed. Drives carefully and observes/complies with all traffic signs and road/weather conditions to ensure the safety of passengers. Parks vehicle in a safe and clearly marked parking space. Locks vehicle doors when vehicle is not in use. Fuels vehicle in accordance with state gasoline regulations and The Salvation Army standards. Logs all mileage onto standard forms; ensures the accuracy and completeness of the same. Arrives at destination according to schedule or telephone ahead when severe delays occur. Maintains control of passenger activities by prohibiting unsafe or non-Christian behavior. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Records time for kettle pickup. May give relief to Bell Ringers to take their 15-minute breaks by ringing the bell at a kettle site. Washes and cleans vehicle regularly. Performs other related work as required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to drive a vehicle in heavy traffic and extended trips. Work involves driving a vehicle where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with long-distance trips or heavy traffic. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience operating an automotive vehicle; OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
