THE ROLE The HR Operations Lead - India is the engine room of the India HR function. This role owns the delivery of every core HR operational process across all Myridius India locations from the moment an employee joins to the moment they leave with a standard of accuracy, compliance, and consistency that the business and the HR Head can rely on without having to check. Where the HR Head sets strategy and governs outcomes, this role makes those outcomes happen. The HR Operations Lead manages a team of 2 HR professionals, owns multi-city statutory compliance execution, runs payroll governance, administers benefits, maintains HRIS integrity, and ensures that no compliance deadline is missed and no employee touchpoint falls through the cracks across every city Myridius operates in (Chennai, Pune and remote) This is a role for someone who takes pride in operational precision, builds disciplined teams, and understands that in HR, getting the basics right every time, across every location is not a small thing. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Team Leadership & Service Delivery ▪ Lead, assign, and develop a team of 2–4 HR Operations professionals distributed across India locations setting clear accountabilities, workload distribution, and quality standards. ▪ Establish and maintain HR SLAs across all operational processes; make service quality visible, measurable, and consistently delivered regardless of location. ▪ Build cross-city coverage and backup capability within the team so no single city is a single point of failure. ▪ Coach team members on statutory knowledge, process discipline, and employee-facing professionalism. 2. Payroll Operations & Statutory Compliance ▪ Own the end-to-end payroll processing cycle across all India locations inputs, deductions, net pay computation, and disbursement in partnership with the payroll vendor or system. ▪ Ensure all statutory deductions and remittances are processed accurately and on time: EPF, ESI, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, TDS on salary (Form 24Q), and Gratuity trust contributions. ▪ Govern the monthly and annual payroll compliance calendar across cities no remittance delayed, no filing missed. ▪ Coordinate with Finance on variance reconciliation, and audit-ready payroll records. 3. Employee Lifecycle Operations ▪ Execute the onboarding process for all new joiners: offer documentation, appointment letters, statutory enrolments (EPFO UAN, ESI, PT registration), BGV coordination, and Day 1 readiness. ▪ Manage employee data lifecycle in HRIS joining, transfers, promotions, location changes, and separations with zero tolerance for data lag or inaccuracy. ▪ Own the Full & Final settlement process: clearance coordination, gratuity computation, leave encashment, notice period recovery, and final payroll processing within SLA. ▪ Maintain equivalent digital and physical records complete, organized, and audit-ready at all times across all cities. 4. Multi-City Statutory Compliance Execution ▪ Execute and track state-wise compliance obligations across all India locations: Shops & Establishments renewals, Professional Tax registrations and filings, LWF remittances, and factory/CLRA registers where applicable. ▪ Maintain a rolling compliance calendar across cities every deadline tracked, owned, and closed on time. ▪ Prepare and file all statutory returns: EPF monthly ECR, ESI half-yearly returns, PT annual returns, LWF filings, and labour register maintenance. ▪ Support the HR Head in inspection readiness maintaining documentation, registers, and records that survive scrutiny at any time. 5. Benefits & Vendor Administration ▪ Administer group health insurance, term life, and accidental cover across all locations enrolments, deletions, claim escalations, and renewal coordination. ▪ Manage the annual benefits renewal process: collecting employee data, coordinating with brokers and insurers, and ensuring zero coverage gap during transitions. ▪ Handle statutory benefit administration: maternity claim processing, ESI benefit support, gratuity nominations, and Pag-IBIG / EPF loan facilitation. ▪ Track employee benefits utilization and flag gaps or underutilization to the HR Head for program improvement decisions. 6. HRIS Management & HR Analytics ▪ Own HRIS data integrity across all India locations every employee record current, every field accurate, and access controls maintained. ▪ Generate regular HR MIS reports: headcount, attrition, joining and exit trends, leave liability, payroll cost, and compliance status city-wise and consolidated. ▪ Build and maintain the HR dashboard for the India HR Head presenting data that surfaces risks and informs decisions, not just numbers. ▪ Drive HRIS process improvements: digitizing manual workflows, automating recurring reports, and identifying data gaps before they cause compliance or payroll errors. 7. ER Support & POSH Administration ▪ Provide operational support on employee relations matters: documentation, timeline tracking, notice issuance, and record maintenance for domestic enquiries and disciplinary proceedings. ▪ Coordinate POSH ICC administration across all locations — meeting schedules, complaint intake documentation, timeline tracking, and annual report data compilation. ▪ Maintain ER and POSH case records with strict confidentiality and audit-ready documentation standards. ▪ Escalate all case-handling decisions to the HR Head; this role owns the administrative backbone, not the case judgment. 8. Policy, Documentation & Process Governance ▪ Maintain the India HR policy library ensuring documents are current, versioned, and accessible to employees across all cities. ▪ Own employment documentation standards: offer letters, appointment letters, confirmation letters, transfer orders, and separation documents templated, legally reviewed, and applied consistently. ▪ Manage the HR audit process internal and external by ensuring records, registers, and compliance documentation are always in order. ▪ Continuously identify process gaps across cities and bring structured improvement proposals to the HR Head.
